“It all started with a friend whose daughter has severe allergies. Dust and mold don’t just give her daughter the sniffles, they can send her into anaphylactic shock. They keep an EPI pen with them at all times, and have been in the ER on multiple occasions.

Our friend told us about ultrasonic blind cleaning and how she had hired ultrasonic blind cleaners when she had lived in another state previously, but wasn’t able to find a similar service here in the Northwest.

Being from the remodeling industry ourselves, we thought this service would be incredibly beneficial not only for families with dust or mold allergies, but also for post-remodeling cleaning.

And, the more we thought about it, we realized it would also serve a need for commercial spaces where sanitization is paramount (think adult care homes or healthcare facilities!)

Finally, blind cleaning became personal when, in preparing to move from one home to another, we cleaned our own blinds by hand. It took the better part of a Saturday, time that could have been spent packing boxes or doing other critical tasks. It was so frustrating that when we were done cleaning our blinds, there was still residue and spots that were missed, and the cords just didn’t get cleaned at all!

We were convinced. Ultrasonic blind cleaning was a much needed service that would be more effective, efficient, and convenient than traditional cleaning. And thus, Zip Clean Blinds was born!"
